This is\u00a0called a\u00a0topic sentence.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"thesis-statement\"><\/span>Thesis Statement:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This is\u00a0the sentence that summarizes your essay\u2019s main point, or\u00a0what you are arguing for\/against. It\u00a0can be\u00a0at\u00a0the end of\u00a0any body paragraph, but it\u00a0must be\u00a0in\u00a0every body paragraph. It\u00a0cannot be\u00a0just a\u00a0topic sentence! It\u00a0has to\u00a0include all three parts: \u201cbecause\u201d, \u201cthis is\u00a0why\u201d, and then the core idea of\u00a0your argument (what you\u2019re arguing for) or\u00a0against).
